A wonderful vintage Navajo child’s velvet shirt, dating to approximately the 1930s–1950s, with remarkable hand-applied embellishments throughout. The shirt features hand-forged buttons and conchos, along with distinctive “Grandmother Tips” adorned with Turquoise cabochons sewn onto the collar. The cloth lining and construction are consistent with the period. An exceptional example of vintage Navajo craftsmanship, with the intricate embellishments giving this little shirt an extraordinary presence and story.
